Traveling, visiting new places, trying new foods & soaking up the sights is one of my favorite things to do.
Whether is walking the state park trails 2 minutes from my home or walking the Great Wall of China, I love it all.
Just before the whole world changed 3 years ago, I went to Aruba on a business retreat. It was a life experience that I had no idea would profoundly change me.
I met people in real life that I had only interacted with in Facebook groups. Over the course of the week, there were 7 of us that seemed to gravitate towards each other.
We said our airport goodbyes and we all went home.
The business retreat for the next year never happened due to the pandemic.
Someone in our group of 7 suggested we go on our own retreat. So off to South Carolina we went and rented a house for 5 days.
We are 7 women from different parts of the country, different in so many ways.
The experience was amazing. At the core, we are all entrepreneurs, make our products and understand each other in that sense.
We laughed, we ate, we cried, we laughed even more. It was therapeutic in a time of such uncertainty. We had the time of our lives!
Last week I returned from our 3rd annual trip to South Carolina. I cannot begin to tell you how much I love these women.
For 3 years we have Zoom calls every other Tuesday. Part to talk business but mostly friendship. I look forward to these calls and so bummed if my schedule makes me miss one.
No matter your age, you can make lifelong friendships. Find your tribe, support each other, be a cheerleader. I miss them already, and truly looking forward to next year.

We tend to draw attention. People want to know what we’re doing and who we are.
So we decided, when asked, we will tell people that we are the retired 1984 synchronized swimming champs 😜
A few in our group wanted to go skydiving! I will be an eager cheerleader for my fellow jumpers!
