Q: Do you still make soap?
A: Not anymore. Soap was actually my very first product. I made soap for over 20 years! These days, there are so many talented soap makers out there that I decided to pour my energy into other passions. Olive My Skin has evolved into a lifestyle brand with eco-conscious home goods, skincare, and candles.
Q: Why is “Olive” in your name?
A: Olive oil is my ride-or-die ingredient. It’s in every single product I make, except the candles (that would be weird). It’s nourishing, sustainable, and a beautiful base for natural skincare.
Q: Who makes your products?
A: Me! Every single one. Some people go to therapy; I go to my studio. It’s my happy place, and I pour that joy into every product I create.
Q: Where are you located?
A: Everything is handmade in Connecticut, and I ship nationwide.
Q: Are your products free from harsh chemicals?
A: Yes. Always free from parabens and petroleum-based ingredients. I keep things clean, simple, and safe.
Q: Are your products eco-friendly?
A: Absolutely. I choose sustainable materials, reusable packaging, and thoughtful ingredients to make sure what you buy feels good for you and the planet.
Q: Tell me about your candles!
A: Our candles are 100% soy wax, with crackling wood wicks and phthalate-free fragrances. That goes for both our finished candles and our Candle Bar To Go kits, so you get the clean, cozy glow without the toxins.
Q: How long do your candles burn?
A: Our soy candles typically burn around 40 hours. For optimal burn, only burn your candle for 4 hours at a time. Keeps from burning off the scent.
Q: What’s the Candle Bar To Go?
A: It’s our signature candle making experience, delivered to your door! Each kit includes everything you need to pour soy candles at home, complete with crackling wood wicks and cocktail recipe cards for the perfect girls’ night in.
Q: What are beeswax wraps used for?
A: Beeswax wraps are a reusable alternative to plastic wrap. Use them to cover bowls, wrap sandwiches, store cut produce, or keep bread fresh. They’re washable, long-lasting, and totally plastic-free.
Q: Are your products vegan?
A: Most are, yes! Our skincare and candles are vegan-friendly. The only exception is beeswax wraps & lip balm (because beeswax)
Q: Do you take custom or wholesale orders?
A: Yes! I love collaborating on special projects, especially for wholesale and special events. All of our products are available with personalized labels for retail, weddings and corporate. Reach out through my contact page and let’s chat.
