There is a moment when you light a candle and the whole room changes. Not dramatically. Just enough. The light softens, the space feels smaller in the best way, and whatever was happening before you walked in starts to matter a little less.
Our candles burn on wood wicks, which means the experience is a little different from what you might be used to. There's a soft crackle when they burn, subtle and warm, like a fireplace you didn't have to build. One of our customers described them as little personal bonfires and we've never found a better way to say it.
Every season gets its own jar color. The shape stays the same, a substantial glass jar with a cork lid, the kind of thing that looks intentional sitting on a shelf or a mantle. Only the color shifts, a quiet nod to what's happening outside your window. Right now that's this deep, warm green. When the candle is gone the jar stays. That's the point.
The scent is the other half of what a candle does to a room. We keep ours phthalate free because you're breathing it in and that matters. Whether you gravitate toward something warm and cozy, fresh and clean, or softly floral, there's a scent in our collection that will feel like yours. And for those who want the light and the crackle without the fragrance, we also offer an unscented version. Pure ambiance, nothing added.
To get the most out of your candle, let it burn long enough on the first light for the wax to melt all the way to the edges. This prevents tunneling and makes sure you get every last hour out of it. Trim the wood wick to about an eighth of an inch before each burn. A how to light your wood wick guide comes with every order so you're never guessing.
At Olive My Home, we make things that earn a permanent place in your home. This candle is no different. Beautiful enough to display, clean enough to feel good about, and warm enough to change the feeling of a room every single time you light it.

I was first gifted Olive My Skin candles and am now a customer. I love the wooden wick- especially at the holidays, makes a nice crackling sound and burn beautifully. So glad brought back the Fraser Fir fragrance !
I know there is a “method” to wood wicks but it just did not work. The wood wick would not stay lit. It would light and then die down to an ember which then simmered its way into a tunnel down the middle of the candle. Pretty disappointed considering the price. I actually melted the candle down in the oven and replaced the wick with a cotton one and now it’s working. Probably will not purchase a wood wick candle ever again.
Hi Katie, I wish you had reached out to me, I would have guided you through a fix or sent you a new candle. I never want a customer to be unhappy with their purchase. Melting the wax and putting in an untested wick can cause unknown issue, like cracking the glass. This is something I would never advise on doing.
I was so happy to see the Pear scented soy candle back! I love the scent and the wood wick and the soy lasts a very long time.
I have purchased many candles of different sizes and scents. They are wonderful and make great gifts as well as the soaps and lotions. Highly recommend !
I love this wood wick candle! Elf's Breath is such an uplifting scent. I love the scent combo. It's very adequately named...for the holiday season.
